Grand Opening Sunday
December 10, 9 am – 9 pm
The ICA officially opens with a free, 12-hour community open house. Come tour our new exhibitions, grab a free family guide, and enjoy music and events celebrating the first new art museum in Boston in almost 100 years!
Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy a variety of theater events and performances, including dance, music, and films in the Barbara Lee Family Foundation Theater. Outside the museum, visit the tent for a wide variety of music performances, a live DJ, face painting, balloon sculptors, and hot chocolate and coffee.
Seating for theater events is limited; tickets are required. Tickets are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis at the admissions desk two hours before show time. All theater programs are approximately ½ hour.
