(Boston, June 7, 2012) On Friday, July 6, the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston launches ICA First Fridays, a series of evening art events held on the first Friday of the month from 5-10pm. Visitors to ICA First Fridays can enjoy a range of arts programming—including live performance, guest DJs, gallery talks, tours, and more—in a lively evening atmosphere. The ICA’s Water Café will offer a small plates menu and full bar, including specialty cocktails inspired by the museum’s current exhibitions. Tickets for ICA First Fridays are $15 and include gallery admission; a glass of wine, beer, or soft drink; and all scheduled programming for the evening. ICA First Fridays are free for ICA members. Must be 21+.

Each Friday event will feature a different theme related to the museum’s exhibitions, performances, or other happenings around Boston.

The ICA launches ICA First Fridays on July 6 with Art Stars, a star-themed celebration highlighting the museum’s exhibition of stunning glass sculptures by Josiah McElheny. Upcoming ICA First Fridays include:

Celebrate the opening of our Brazilian street art exhibition Os Gemeos with a waterfront dance party! Caipirinhas, Brazilian street food and DJs will take visitors to the heart of the artist’s native São Paulo.
