ICA WELCOMES VOLVO OCEAN RACE TO BOSTON
APRL 25 - MAY 16

Boston, Mass.—The ICA is proud to join the City of Boston in welcoming the Volvo Ocean Race to Fan Pier. One of the world’s premier global sailing events, the race takes over nine months and stops at 11 ports around the world. Boston is the only stop in North America.

From April 25 to May 16th, Fan Pier will be transformed into a lively race village featuring non-stop action and entertainment. Visitors to Boston’s waterfront can enjoy a wealth of activities along the HarborWalk – from art exhibitions and performances at the ICA to sailboat racing and sporting demonstrations at the race village. Currently on view at the ICA is the hit exhibition Shepard Fairey: Supply and Demand featuring 20 years of work by one of the most talked about artists today.

The ICA’s Water Café and Founders Gallery offer spectacular views of all the sailing events taking place in the Harbor, including the dramatic race to the finish when the boats first make their way into Boston. (The boats are currently anticipated to arrive around April 27.)
