POSITION
The ICA seeks a dynamic, creative, entrepreneurial development professional with the ability to lead and inspire the team responsible for meeting aggressive individual fundraising goals.  The ideal candidate will have a track record of successfully securing and managing capital and endowment major gifts as well as upper level memberships from individuals.  In addition, he or she will have demonstrated ability to devise innovative cultivation opportunities, lead and manage a team, build internal and external relationships, develop pathways from general membership to upper level membership, and provide thought leadership around all aspects of individual fundraising.


RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and drive unrestricted and restricted giving program directed at
   individual donors and members.
• Manage donor moves management and proposal development directed at
   individual donors.
• Direct upper level annual giving programs and implement programs to identify,
   solicit and track donors for the museum's Director's Circle, Ars Longa Society
   and Founder's Circle.
• Take a lead role in maximizing the involvement of the Director's Circle Co-
   Chairs and Committee.
• Lead or participate in fundraising solicitations for annual (both operating and
   restricted) and endowment campaign gifts; actively manage a portfolio of
   major gifts prospects.
• Develop, launch and manage a planned giving program.
• Develop opportunities for individuals to support the ICA's exhibitions, education
   and public programs.
• Develop and implement an upgrade plan to maximize the potential to identify,
   cultivate and solicit new membership cohorts.
• Establish and maintain the Director's Circle and Major Gifts budgets; produce
   and implement an annual DC development plan and timelines; report accurate
   financial information to the Director of Development
• Drive data gathering related to DC and membership demographics and wealth
   screening of donors and potential donors.
• Lead, manage and inspire the team responsible for directing comprehensive
   and robust individual (membership, annual fund, new group) giving.
• Ensure team members clearly understand funding goals and have the support
   and resources to meet them.
• Develop cross-promotional partnerships and reciprocal programs with internal
  departments, local businesses and peer institutions
• Support the professional growth of the Individual Giving team.
• Oversee systems for stewardship.
• Develop, maintain and manage annual expense budget.
• Provide regular reporting and progress on all fundraising activities.


QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must posses 5 years of related development experience and a proven track record of fundraising for capital and endowment of major gifts and upper level individual giving programs.  Excellent communications skills, both oral and writing required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Raiser's Edge fundraising database is preferred.
