Development Internship

SUMMER 2013

COMPENSATION: Unpaid
DATES: June–August 2013
COLLEGE CREDIT: May be available based on your program of study; will be determined prior to start date
HOURS: 12–16 hours per week; flexible days


DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

The Development Intern will provide administrative support to the Department. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing assistance with Foundation, Corporate, and Individual Giving activities
  • Conducting prospect research and analysis
  • Assisting with the maintenance of the Development database
  • Supporting the production and management of donor events
  • Performing general administrative duties,as required

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Interest in Development
  • Facility with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge or willingness to learn
  • Experience in grant writing and reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ideal candidate must be organized, flexible, and detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and work both independently and collaboratively on various projects
  • Demonstrated familiarity with contemporary art desired
