Development Internship (Fall 2013)


Compensation: Unpaid
Dates: September-December 2013
College Credit: May be available based on your program of study and will be determined prior to start
Hours: 12-16 hours per week; flexible days

The Development intern will primarily provide administrative support to the Department. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to those listed below:

• Provide assistance with foundation, corporate and individual giving activities
• Conduct prospect research and analysis
• Assist with maintenance of the Development database
• Support the production and management of donor events
• Perform general administrative duties

• Interest in Development
• Facility with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Experience with Raiser’s Edge or willingness to learn
• Experience in grant writing and reporting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be organized, flexible, detail oriented
• Ability to multi-task and work both independently and collaboratively on various projects
• Demonstrated familiarity with contemporary art desired
