Academic Year: Fall 2008-Spring 2009

This is a unique opportunity to assist the Family Programs Coordinator in the Education Department of the ICA in all aspects of planning, administrating, and outreach for a popular two-day family event called "KidsBuild/ICA City" to be offered in the spring of 2009 in partnership with Boston area architects.

Candidates must have an interest in art and architecture as well as strong communication and administrative skills; experience working with the public especially children, youth groups, and families; availability to do presentations/outreach at schools and agencies in Boston; knowledge of art materials and art making processes; attention to detail; and a sense of humor.

This internship requires a minimum of 5-6 hours per week plus monthly 2 hour evening planning meetings. Additional hours will be required closer to the event including weekly hours and evening meetings.
