Internship: Art Library/Archive Intern
Department: Curatorial
Supervisor: Senior Registrar and Assistant Registrar
Work Schedule: 16 hours per week (days to be determined)
Number of Openings: 2
Compensation: Unpaid


Duties/Responsibilities

Support the Senior Registrar and Assistant Registrar with the continuation of the recently established project of cataloguing the ICA art-reference library: an internal resource for curators and education staff which consists of ICA exhibition catalogues, museum catalogues (US and international), monographs, art theory books and art periodicals comprised of approximately 3800 books and 2000 magazines.

• Organizing the ICA exhibition catalogues/publications both in the library and ICA archive
• Working within the ICA exhibition archive as required
• Recording title and information in the LibraryThing database
• Stamping with ICA-library stamp
• Organizing and cross-checking the ICA exhibition catalogues in the library with the ICA archive collection to ensure copies of ICA publications exist in both
• Updating information on ICA exhibitions
• Inputting data into TMS database if already experienced in using TMS


Qualifications

Education:
Upper-level undergraduate or graduate student in Library Studies or Museum Studies.

Skills:
TMS experience preferred.


College Credit

May be available based on your program of study, and will be determined prior to starting.
