Jane D. Marsching

Marsching's work explores belief, the paranormal, and the far reaches of the universe. She is currently at work on a multi-year project focused on the facts and myths associated with the Arctic. Marsching's exhibition is entitled Arctic Listening Postand includes digital prints of people performing stunts in glacial landscapes and a seating area made from materials used to build the new ICA. Here, visitors can join an online conversation between twelve people who research climate change, sustainability and the Arctic including a glaciologist, a theologian, a political consultant, and a comedian. Marsching resides in Roslindale and is Assistant Professor at Massachusetts College of Art. She earned a Master of Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 1995.
