Artists Imagine Architecture

May 22 – September 2, 2002

Artists Imagine Architecture presented a group of international artists whose works blurred ideological and formal boundaries between sculpture and architectural models. In contrast to the proliferation of exhibitions that explored the relationship between architecture and installation art, the exhibition proposed that the closest shared territory of those disciplines was in fact the architectural model. Artists in the exhibition included Jeff Ono, Vincent Fecteau, Sam Durant, Rita McBride, Isa Genzken, Dan Graham, Manfred Pernice, Bodys Isek Kingelez, Carlos Garaicoa, Axel Lieber, Matthew Ronay, Shirley Tse, Ian Kiaer, and Alan Wexler.
