Artist Bio

Eileen Quinlan was born in 1972 in Boston, where she received her BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts/Tufts University (1996). She earned her MFA from Columbia University, New York (2005) and is now based in Brooklyn. Since 2001, she has been featured in notable group exhibitions, including most recently: Strange Magic, Luhring Augustine, New york (2007); TBA [with Cheyney Thompson], Arnolfini, Bristol, UK (2007); Undone, Whitney Museum at Altria, New York (2007); and Slow Movement or: Half and Whole, Kunsthalle Bern, Switzerland (2009). Solo gallery presentations have been mounted in 2006 at Sutton Lane, London, in 2007 at Miguel Abreu Gallery, New York, and in 2008 at Art Statements, Art|39|Basel, Switzerland, Sutton Lane, Paris, Galerie Daniel Buchholz, Cologne, and Overduin and Kite, Los Angeles. Momentum 13 is Quinlan’s first solo museum exhibition.
