Taylor Davis's Untitled continues her elegant minimalist exploration of space and form with a subtle play of materials, craft and perception. Resembling a wooden palette standing hip-high on its side, the work is constructed of simple pine slats joined together at varying intervals and a mirror-lined interior that creates the illusion of infinite depth and a kaleidoscopic array of light and shadow. Davis was the recipient of the 2001 ICA Artist Prize and subject of a one-artist exhibition at the museum in 2002.
