2009 BENEFIT CONCERT TO SUPPORT THE INSTITUTE OF CONTEMPORARY ART
Laurie Anderson and Lou Reed
The Yellow Pony and Other Songs and Stories
In a rare public appearance together, American artists Laurie Anderson and Lou Reed share classic and recent works in this intimate evening of music, stories, songs, and poems.
The evening will draw from a wide range of their work: beat-driven improvised instrumentals, spoken pieces from their theater works, and songs and duets about love and its many cousins.
Please join the Institute of Contemporary for an all-new format this year as we present this once-in-a-life time opportunity to see Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson perform in concert in the Barbara Lee Family Foundation Theater. Start the night at an exclusive dinner party in the ICA's Founders' Gallery overlooking Boston's spectacular waterfront.
The performance will be followed by a great after-party at the ICA for all concertgoers.
