COURSE

Art Now

What better way to explore art this Spring than with an artist? This four-week course taught by artist and educator Raul Gonzalez will highlight contemporary art themes also present in ICA’s exhibitions. Discussions, multimedia presentations, readings and visits to the ICA’s galleries to study the ICA Collection, Mark Bradford exhibition and Gabriel Kuri’s Nobody needs to know the price of your Saab will provide the foundation for this popular and thought-provoking course.

Instructor’s Biography: Raul Gonzalez was named Best Visual Artist in the Boston Phoenix's Best of 2010. An Artadia and Boston Art Award-winner, Gonzalez is a founding member of The Miracle Five artist collective. He has exhibited at the Bernard Toale Gallery, Carroll and Sons, Rhys Gallery, and Space 242, among others, and has taught at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston Architectural College and ICA.

Fee: $80 members, students and seniors; $100 general public. Participants receive a 10% discount at the ICA Store. May not be combined with any other offer.
