WORLD MUSIC/CRASHarts PRESENTS
Kate Weare Company: Garden
and excerpts from Dark Lark!
Known for physically charged, emotionally unguarded work, Kate Weare Company creates ingenious, imaginative dances that deal with contemporary perceptions of identity and relationships. Her wonderfully intricate, nuanced dance vocabulary is technically challenging yet highly sensuous, if not downright erotic.
Free pre-show talks with dance critic Debra Cash 30 minutes prior to curtain in the State Street Corporation Lobby at the ICA both evenings. Free post-show Q&A with the company Friday, February 28.
This presentation of Kate Weare Company was made possible by the New England Foundation for the Arts’ National Dance Project, with lead funding from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation and additional funding from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
