A Step Ahead
Celebrate May with a tour of the ICA neighborhood led by Boston by Foot! Enjoy lunch on the ICA Grandstand, visit the galleries, catch a dance/theater performance by Boston City Lights at 1:30 PM, then wrap things up with a creative twist in the Bank of America Art Lab. Art-making activities are led by visiting artists; participants may also make sketches outdoors overlooking Boston Harbor.

Make Your Own Binoculars

Visit the 4th-floor galleries for some artistic inspiration then use colored tape and acetate to create your very own, unique viewing devices!

Bank of America Art Lab
Visit the 4th floor to see the Barrry McGee exhibition then sketch your ideas for your own sign. Try your hand using a variety of materials and tools in the Bank of America Art Lab, and if you prefer, your final work may be displayed until September 2! Ask a staff member for details.

Poss Family Mediatheque
While you’re here, take a chance to check out the Mediatheque! This learning space allows visitors to delve deeper into the ICA’s history, architecture, and current exhibitions. It also provides a contemplative space to think and talk about what you’ve seen in the galleries. Computer content changes based on current exhibitions. Now on view: a slideshow and documentary about the ICA, as well as educatoinal materials about Barry McGee.*
