Take a closer look at paintings by Amy Sillman and talk about your discoveries with artists in the galleries! Use layers of color to create original artworks in the Bank of America Art Lab, and sketch dancers posing in the State Street Corporation Lobby. Families are encouraged to bring along large reusable bags to carry home art projects.
The Youth Performance Series features Urbanity Dance in the Barbara Lee Family Foundation Theater at 11:30 am and 3 pm.

10 am – 4 pm
Visit the Galleries
Explore the galleries throughout the day, and discuss the art on view with our Visitor Assistants. In addition, from 1-3 pm Family Programs staff will be on hand in the galleries inviting you to have artful conversations about the work of artist Amy Sillman. We encourage family visitors of all ages to visit the galleries!
11:30 am and 3 pm
Don't miss Boston's own Urbanity Dance in the Barbara Lee Family Foundation Theater for two shows. Today's performances include the professional dance company as well as our Youth Performance Series and features new choreography developed especially for the ICA building. Audience participation will be invited.
11 am – 4 pm
Visit the Bank of America Art Lab and create your own paintings combining figures and abstraction, using both paint and new media. Space is limited; first come, first served. This activity is for children ages 6 and older with adults.
12 – 4 pm
Relax in the State Street Corporation Lobby at the ICA while trying your hand at drawing people. Alternatively, look closely then sketch the faces of your family and friends, creating your own small collection. This activity is for all ages, first come first served on a space-available basis. For children and adults working together.
