Play Date: Links, Lines, and Knots
Unravel the mysteries of Matthew Ritchie’s installation on the Sandra and Gerald Fineberg Art Wall! Share your ideas about this new work, then work with visiting artist Rachel Shuman to create large-scale diagrams including stories from your family’s lives (plus lines and knots). Hear the Boston Children’s Chorus perform in the Barbara Lee Family Foundation Theater, and see a screening of feature film The Secret of Kells at 3:15pm.

Activities are designed for adults and children of all ages working together. Ongoing and drop-in; space is limited.
Nick Cave: Body Work
10:30 am – 4:30 pm
Mix life-size coloring book pages designed by artist Nick Cave with a little imagination and creativity, and you have Body Work, the ICA's newest drop-in art activity in the Bank of America Art Lab.
Making Links, Lines and Knots with Drawing and Collage
11 am – 3 pm
Create your own images and use layers to tell visual stories with the assistance of visiting artist Rachel Shuman in the State Street Corporation Lobby.
12 – 4 pm
Enjoy the views of Boston Harbor and beyond while you sketch in Founders Gallery on the 4th floor.
