The International Experimental
Cinema Exposition 2013
TIE has explored the inherent visual artistry of experimental cinema internationally, through intensive film festivals, curatorial research, exhibitions, archival projects, scholarly presentations, conferences, and other cultural interventions. The new 2013 edition of TIE, presented at the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston features 16mm films that direct attention to the unique and often nascent qualities of cinema.
The program brings together celebrated talents from multiple generations of filmmakers from across New England including Evan Johnson, Jodie Mack, Luther Price, Fern Silva, Kathryn Ramey, Robert Todd, Douglas Urbank, and the legendary Saul Levine, who joins TIE founder and curator for a post-screening discussion.
