Includes museum admission, live entertainment, and special programming.

This 21+ event does sell out; advance tickets are recommended. ICA Members can attend the event for free, but are encouraged to make advance reservations. The museum will not be open to visitors outside of the First Fridays event.

Please note: ICA First Fridays is a private, ticketed event. Admission is free for members and $15 for nonmembers. Discounts, promotions and admission vouchers do not apply toward First Fridays admission.

     

SPECIAL EVENT

First Fridays: Masquerade

UPDATE: Advance ticket sales for First Fridays: Masquerade are now closed. Tickets may be purchased at the door starting at 5 PM this evening.

Channel your inner caped crusader, wicked witch, or ninja, and head to ICA First Fridays: Masquerade! Artist Melissa Thyden will help you realize your Halloween best with mask-making activities in the Bank of America Art Lab. This special evening features pop-up dance performances by critically-acclaimed company Adele Myers and Dancers throughout the evening. Look for them on the dance floor, where Boston favorite DJ Knife will be keeping you moving all night long.

We're celebrating the Sox! Wear your Red Sox uniform to First Fridays: Masquerade and get in FREE!

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Pop-Up Performances

Special pop-up dance performances by critically acclaimed company Adele Myers and Dancers on the 1st and 2nd floor from 7-9 pm. The company returns to the ICA for Einstein’s Happiest Thought  on Nov. 8 & 9. Order tickets online or see the front desk for details.

Artist-led Mask-Making
Didn’t bring a mask? Make your own in the Bank of America Art Lab! Artist Melissa Thyden will help you realize your creative best from 6-9pm! Available while supplies last!

Music
Boston favorite DJ Knife is back with a brand new set from 5-10 pm.

Spotlight Talks & Gallery Hours
Spotlight talks in Amy Sillman: one lump or two every 30 minutes from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. See works by the artist lauded as “one of the most exciting painters around" by the Boston Globe. Galleries open until 9:30 pm!

Photo Booth
Show off your costume and gather with friends at the First Fridays Photo Booth from 6-9pm. Photos may be downloaded from the ICA Facebook page on Monday, Nov 4.

MINI Lounge
Exclusive seating for ICA members and MINI Cooper owners. Redeem your drink ticket for a complimentary Harpoon Brewery tasting (while supplies last)! ICA First Fridays are 21+

After Party
Continue the festivities at the high-energy neighborhood spot, Tavern Road (343 Congress Street), where the open kitchen churns out global street-food inspired fare from 10:00 pm -- 1:00 am with beer, wine and artful cocktails flowing until 2:00 am!

Please note: Costumes are welcome, but due to the delicate nature of art, gallery access may be limited for guests whose costumes pose a threat to the art in the galleries (due to costume size or nature). Guests are welcome to create their own mask in the Bank of America Art Lab.
