New Media Programs for Teens

Explore the world of new media in our state-of-the-art digital media studio.  Workshops in video, web design, digital photography, animation, pod-casting and more are offered through the year for all levels of experience.  Learn from professional media artists as you develop your own digital media art portfolio.  Classes are fee-based, with scholarships available for Boston public school students.

Equipment and Lab Fee
Students will be provided with all necessary equipment, including cameras, microphones, software, discs and tape. There is a $10 lab fee for all digital studio classes to offset this cost.  Some classes require equipment to be taken home by the students. Prior to acceptance into these classes, the student's parent/guardian must sign an agreement accepting responsibility for this equipment.

Scholarships
The ICA has a mission to serve students in the Boston Public Schools.  A percentage of slots in each class will be reserved for BPS students.  The John Hancock Foundation has provided scholarships for these slots and are available to interested students who have completed the normal application and interview process.
