BOSTON CHILDREN’S CHORUS
10th Anniversary Concert
Featuring a world premiere by composer
DANIEL BERNARD ROUMAIN
Since the inception of the Boston Children’s Chorus in 2003, it has fulfilled the vision of founder Hubie Jones to become an integral part of Boston’s cultural and social fabric. Having expanded from its original group of 20 singers, it now includes more than 450 singers representing more than 80 of Boston’s urban and suburban neighborhoods. To celebrate their tenth anniversary, the ICA has partnered with the BCC to present an evening of contemporary choral music, including a new work by Haitian American composer Daniel Bernard Roumain (DBR), specially commissioned for this performance. Combined with a dance performance featuring choreography by Amy Seiwert and a word score by Marc Bamuthi Joseph, this special presentation promises to be an evening to remember.
Winter/Spring 2013 dance performances supported in part by Jann Leeming & Arthur Little, The Little Family Foundation.
