ICA and WORLD MUSIC / CRASHarts PRESENT
Known for his thrilling, unconventional cello playing, Kentucky-based singer-songwriter Ben Sollee possesses a knack for inventive, intricate arrangements. After Sollee and his band recently played the season finale of Lincoln Center’s American Songbook, the New York Times raved, “their meticulous, fluent arrangements continually morphed from one thing to another. Appalachian mountain music gave way to the blues, and one song was appended with a fragment from a Bach cello suite, beautifully played.”
The 2013–14 performance season at the ICA is presented with support from The Robert E. Davoli and Eileen L. McDonagh Charitable Foundation and Ellen Poss.
