Since the inception of the Boston Children’s Chorus in 2003, it has fulfilled the vision of founder Hubie Jones to become an integral part of Boston’s cultural and social fabric. Having expanded from its original group of 20 singers, it now includes more than 450 singers representing more than 80 of Boston’s urban and suburban neighborhoods.
To celebrate their tenth anniversary, the BCC has partnered with the ICA to present an evening of contemporary choral music, including a new work by Haitian American composer Daniel Roumain, specially commissioned for this performance.
Combined with a dance performance featuring choreography by Amy Seiwert and a word score by Marc Bamuthi Joseph, this special presentation promises to be an evening to remember.
Read the Boston Globe article covering a recent rehearsal for this very special anniversary performance.
Supported in by part Jann Leeming & Arthur Little, The Little Family Foundation.
