Created by composer Georges Aperghis and video artist Hans Op de Beeck, Happy End features a 16-member ensemble, live electronics, projected video, and prerecorded voices. Based on the 17th-century French fairy tale “Little Thumb” (Le Petit Poucet) by author Charles Perrault, the work is not just a retelling but a psychological journey into the mind of its protagonist.
