Wavelengths: Mas Ysa
The project of composer Thomas Arsenault, Mas Ysa combines the synth sounds of the 80s and 90s, love songs, techno, and field recordings into moving, irresistible dance music: Think Bon Iver meets Depeche Mode. A Montreal native, Arsenault studied composition at Oberlin and lived in Saõ Paulo and San Francisco before landing in Brooklyn, where he built a recording studio and worked with choreographer Rashaun Mitchell. He's toured widely as Mas Ysa and recently released a debut EP.

Opening act: André Obin
For Cambridge-based André Obin, genre-bending and shape-shifting are standard fare; taking risks is part of the fun. As a musician, singer and producer, André draws inspiration for his songs from a deep emotional well. The results can be as dark as a forest under a new moon or as bright as a summer sun reflecting off the skyscrapers of a bustling city.
