Presenting a New Decade in Boston 2010

What if this could happen in Boston? SHIFTboston Ideas Competition invited design professionals to unleash their wildest visions for Boston’s public spaces. Join us in celebration of these ideas at the SHIFTboston Forum where the top 25 entries and winner will be presented to an audience of local leaders in the arts, architecture, government, academics and other professions.

The competition has generated interest from almost all 50 states and over 70 countries. The international jury includes architect Thom Mayne representing forward progression and the future city, Ana Salinas Mata and Scott Burnham for urban intervention and play, Mitchell Joachim for ecological design, Sarah Whiting for urban theory, Brian Healy for materiality and place-making in the urban environment, and Audrey O'Hagan for architectural discipline in Boston.
