Book a Tour, Plan your Visit
The ICA offers guided tours and self-guided visits for groups of more than ten (10) people. To schedule a guided tour or self-guided visit reservations are required. Please complete and submit a GROUP VISIT REGISTRATION FORM at least three weeks in advance of the visit date you have requested.
Groups of more than ten (10) may tour the museum independent of a tour guide but must schedule in advance to receive the discounted group rate. At this time self-guided visits are not available to K-12 school and youth groups due to restrictions mandated by our current exhibitions.
Our guided tours provide an opportunity for visitors to learn more about the social and cultural contexts of the works highlighted in the tour. Guided tours are led by trained tour guides who provide social and cultural contexts for understanding contemporary art using an interactive approach to learning. Groups choose either the Focus Tour, highlighting one of the featured exhibitions, or the Introduction to the Art & Architecture of the ICA Tour. Tours last approximately one hour.
Guided Tour + Art Lab
K-12 School and youth groups may opt to participate in the Art Lab, an extra component which involves a hands-on, art-making activity in the Bank of America Art Lab following a guided tour. Click here for current Art Lab themes.
