Dr. David Weinberg—collaborator on Josiah McElheny’s riveting Island Universe and other works—joins Bang Wong and Dr. Lois Hetland, author of Studio Thinking: The Real Benefits of Visual Arts Education, in a discussion that explores the challenges of creating visual representations of scientific knowledge. The exchange of ideas offers a glimpse into how scientists visualize data for public consumption, and identifies similarities practiced by visual artists.
This program is co-hosted for with Science for the Public, an organization that encourages public appreciation of science through its programs, featuring leading scientists and authors.
