Ruth Erickson on LaToya Ruby Frazier
Ruth Erickson, art historian, doctoral candidate, and research fellow at the ICA/Boston, explores the mixing of portraiture and social documentary photography in the work of LaToya Ruby Frazier. She looks closely at select works in Frazier's solo exhibition WITNESS to consider the artist's insightful combinations of body and architecture, public and domestic space, and the individual and the other.
