GROUP VISITS

Guided Tour + Digital Studio

Taught by ICA Educators, Digital Studio Workshops allow students hands on opportunities to create their own new media work inspired by ICA exhibitions.

Please note: Digital Studio Workshops are only available during the summer. Availability is limited, please contact us at tours@icaboston.org for detailed information regarding availability. This program can accommodate a maximum of 24 students.

ANIMATION
Taking a cue from the work of artist Josiah McElheny, this workshop encourages students to explore animation in unexpected ways. By distorting new images and mirroring others, students will discover how lines and time interact to create new visual worlds.

DIGITAL COLLAGE AND PHOTOSHOP
Street artists like Shepard Fairey and Swoon use dynamic techniques of contemporary graphic design, such as typography and image layering, to create powerful works of art in the urban sphere. This workshop will introduce students to some of these techniques using digital imaging software.

Reservations are required. Please complete our registration form (link to pdf below) at least three weeks in advance to receive the discounted group rate.
