Overview

The ICA’s Adult Learning Fellowship provides a qualified individual the opportunity to engage with contemporary arts education for adult learners in a ten-month assignment (September 2019—June 2020), with the possibility of a two-month summer extension. Under the direction of the ICA’s Interpretive Media and Adult Education Coordinator, the Adult Learning Fellow will learn about museum operations, gain skills in adult programming design and implementation, and engage with diverse contemporary art audiences. Benefits of the Fellowship include institutional AAM membership, New England Museum reciprocity, and various professional development opportunities. Attendance at interdepartmental meetings, exhibition walkthroughs, and educator training sessions is required. The successful applicant must commit to working onsite two days per week and attend related events; Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons are programs requirements.
