Reporting to the CRM Manager, the CRM Assistant will oversee the processing of contributed and membership-driven revenue into the ICA’s CRM system, Tessitura. The CRM Assistant will further have responsibility for managing receipts/acknowledgements and benefit fulfillment for Development programs, and will support, as needed, institution-wide activities including special events. This is a full-time, salaried position.

  • Input all gifts and applicable donations related to annual, capital, and endowment giving campaigns into the Tessitura CRM, including but not limited to gift types of cash, checks, credit cards, wires, stocks, pledges, gift-in-kinds, gifts of art, and planned gifts
  • Input all membership contributions and maintain member records in support of the External Relations department
  • Adjust contributions as directed by the CRM Manager, or others as appropriate
  • Create, maintain, and update donor records within Tessitura as needed
  • Maintain the integrity of financial data, correspondence, and a wide variety of account-related data
  • Generate gift receipts, facilitate benefit fulfillment, and process mailings and digital distribution of benefits related to donations for the Development program
  • Ensure all gift documentation is properly scanned, filed, and submitted to the Finance department according to processing standards
  • Ensure safeguarding of gift and payment information in accordance with the ICA’s polices and applicable privacy and data security laws
  • Assist in the management of the Tessitura CRM system, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of data
  • Provide support at special events as needed, requiring occasional evening and weekend work availability
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience required
  • 1+ years of professional experience in an office setting
  • Experience with CRMs, databases, and data processing
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with Tessitura or other fundraising CRM ideal
  • Expressed interest in the arts and/or non-profit field
