The ICA’s Marketing Assistant provides support to the Marketing and Communication department’s advertising, communication, and media relations efforts. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Assistant will coordinate advertising, promotions, and events; manage analytics, invoicing, and budget tracking; and assist with public relations as well as digital media initiatives. The Marketing Assistant will gain a familiarity with ICA exhibitions, programs, and branding in order to assist the department in creating quality brand messaging and communications.
The Marketing Assistant will assist in the management of various digital initiatives including social media, website, mobile guide, and eNews. Duties also include assisting with departmental photo needs including rights and reproduction. Assisting with special marketing events and Marketing Committee meetings are also necessary. They will assist Director of Marketing with ICA analytics and provide support in public relations initiatives including maintaining PR documents, creating image contact sheets for media use, tracking and compile media coverage, and assisting in production of press releases.
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, art history, or related field, or equivalent experience, required. Minimum of one year related professional experience required. Excellent writing and communication skills, strong attention to detail, ability to work in a team environment while provide assistance to multiple managers simultaneously required. Strong computer skills; command of Microsoft Office programs required. Familiarity with museum marketing and branding best practices preferred.
