ICA Tour Guides are a dynamic community of volunteers and key members of the Education Department with a shared interest in the art of our time. Through discussion-based tours, ICA Tour Guides encourage visitors of all ages to make meaningful connections with contemporary art and culture. ICA Tour Guides come from a variety of professional and personal backgrounds; no formal art or art history training is required.
The ICA is currently accepting applications for the fall 2019 Tour Guide training program. Individuals selected for the training program must be able to commit to a weekly two-hour training session every Thursday afternoon from September 12 through November 14, 2019. After the initial training period, active Tour Guides lead an average of four tours per month and attend exhibition and supplementary training sessions throughout the year.
