Take your time investigating the galleries bursting with artworks and artifacts from Black Mountain College, then visit the Bank of America Art Lab to try a hands-on project about color akin to one enjoyed by Black Mountain College artists. Don’t miss a super-fun dance demonstration at 1:30 PM by Judith Wombwell and Deadfall Dance—and maybe even get onstage yourself!

Try out a variety of color combinations and include uniquely colored leaves in your work. Today’s art making project is based on the ideas of Josef Albers who taught at Black Mountain College. For all ages with adult collaboration. First come, first served and space is limited.

PERFORMANCE

Deadfall Dance | 1:30 PM
Barbara Lee Family Foundation Theater. Enter via 3rd floor.
Today’s dance demonstration, inspired by the work of John Cage, takes you on an imagined journey full of surprises. Deadfall Dance performs at 1:30pm in the Barbara Lee Family Foundation theater. Audience participation will be invited. Doors open at 1:15. There will be no late seating for this event.
