Kids rule the ICA the last Saturday of every month, when the museum fills up with fun, creative, and even zany activities for kids and adults to do together.

Don’t miss today’s concert by our community partner Boston Children’s Chorus, including the Dorchester Advanced Training Choir and the Dorchester Intermediate Choir. Learn more about the Boston Children’s Chorus’s approaches to empowering kids as active citizens of the world through their afterschool music programs. Please plan ahead and arrive early as this concert usually fills up! Theater doors open at 1:15 PM.

Use colored tape to decorate handy binoculars, then check out the view across Boston Harbor to East Boston, where the ICA will open a new site in summer 2018.
- Fish Out of Water | 11:15 AM–1:30 PM + 2:15–4:15 PM
Bank of America Art Lab, 1st floor
Try mirror symmetry to draw your own flying fish creatures, then add designs using colored pencils. For more fun, use stencils and cutting to create flying fish to add to our new art lab installation, complete with information about the places your family is from. Meet visiting artist Bennie Flores Ansell, who will be on site all day.

Strike up a conversation with our roaming tour guide, who will be in the galleries specifically focused on talking about the art and artists with children and families.

Find out more about a work of art with lively discussions for kids and adults together, led by our Visitor Assistants. Look for the blue pillows and share your thoughts, questions, and ideas.
Admission is FREE for up to 2 adults per family when accompanied by children ages 12 and under. Youth 17 and under are always admitted free to the ICA. All ages welcome; programs best-suited for ages 6 and older. Check icaboston.org for programming details and schedules as program dates approach. There is no Play Date in December.
