This edition of the biennial Foster Prize, highlighting work by Boston-area artists, will introduce a new component: a program of intimate, in-gallery Foster Talks in which each artist will engage in a discussion with a figure who has influenced their work. Each talk will address the artist’s work and the creative process.
Véréna Paravel and Lucien Castaing-Taylor will discuss their film Leviathan, on view in the exhibition, with Dennis Lim, critic, curator, and Director of Programming, Film Society of Lincoln Center.
The 2017 James and Audrey Foster Prize exhibition and Foster Talks are generously endowed by James and Audrey Foster.
