Q: Does the performance allow for late seating?

A: Walkthrough is a continuous 55-minute performance with no breaks or intermissions. This means we will not be able to accommodate latecomers. Any tickets not claimed 15 minutes before the performance will be released to the public.

Q: What can we do with our coats, large bags, backpacks, etc.?

A: Large bags and backpacks are not permitted in the ICA galleries. However, the museum offers free coat check for all visitors and will store your belongings for the duration of your visit.

Q: Where is the performance?

A: The performance takes place in the West Gallery on the 4th floor of the ICA. Groups may assemble in the exhibition space 15 minutes prior to the performance.

Q: Is photography permitted for this event?

A: There is no photography allowed during the performance.

Q: Will the artist’s voice be amplified for the performance?

A: During the performance, the artist will speak into a microphone and FM headsets for sound amplification are required for all performances. ICA Visitor Assistants will be standing by to assist visitors who experience technical issues during the performance.

Q: Will I be able to leave during the performance to get some water, take a break, make a call, etc. and then return after?

A: Unfortunately, due to the nature of Walkthrough, there are no breaks or pauses in the performances. Visitors will spend the majority of the performance seated, and they will have the opportunity to move around at different points during the performance, as directed by the artist. Those who leave the performance will not be able to be readmitted once it has begun.

A: Visitors are discouraged from asking questions during the performance, but the artist will be available for questions at the conclusion of the event.
