The ICA will offer conference scholarships covering the cost of conference registration and travel for a limited number of teen attendees. Teens must be nominated by their host institution in order to be eligible. To apply, please send the following documents to teenconference@icaboston.org:

1. A Letter of Nomination from Host Institution: Host institution must write a letter on behalf of the student applicant outlining the student’s merit in attending the Building Brave Spaces conference. The letter should address student’s relationship with host institution, personal qualities, and what they stand to gain from attending the conference and engaging with a cohort of teen arts students and educators.

2. A Personal Statement written by Student Applicant: The student applicant must submit a one-page personal statement explaining why they would like to attend the Building Brave Spaces conference, their relationship with teen arts programs, and what brave means to them. Student should show demonstrated investment in teen arts programming and dedication to sharing lessons learned from the conference with host institution community. 

If selected, youth under the age of 18 must travel to Building Brave Spaces with an adult from host institution.

The deadline to apply for Building Brave Spaces Teen scholarships is August 1, 2018. All materials must be emailed to teenconference@icaboston.org by this date. Please write Teen Conference Scholarship Application in subject line.
