Thanks to the outstanding generosity of our community, we are currently sold out for the 2026 Annual Women’s Luncheon. You can still make a gift to amplify women’s voices or add your name to the waitlist.

Come celebrate our shared commitment to amplifying the work and voices of women artists, leaders, philanthropists, and educators locally, nationally, and internationally. The Women’s Luncheon centers on community and conversation, bringing new perspectives, expertise, resources, and energy to the ICA.

This is a gender-inclusive event. All are welcome.

Lorna Simpson

Known for her pioneering approach to conceptual photography in the 1980s and 1990s, Lorna Simpson has expanded the boundaries and possibilities of representation for more than 40 years. Simpson’s continued commitment to experimentation has made her a visionary and one of the most widely admired artists of our time. Her work To My Best Friend, 2013, will be on view at the ICA as part of a collection exhibition of the same name, opening on January 23, 2026.

Meraki Artist Award

The $100,000 annual Meraki Artist Award is generously funded by Fotene Demoulas and recognizes the artistic achievements of women artists. Taking inspiration from the Greek word “meraki,” which means to do something with soul, love, or creativity, the Meraki Artist Award was established in 2025 to support the ICA’s efforts in exhibiting, presenting, and collecting the work of visionary artists. Simpson will accept the Meraki Artist Award at the Women’s Luncheon.

The image features the words MERAKI in bold, uppercase letters inside a pink rectangular border with Meraki Artist Prize written below in a clean, modern font. The background is adorned with pink brushstroke accents.
