This summer choreographer Michelle Boulé will continue to research her current choreographic project The Field during her Summer Stages Dance @ ICA residency. Working with New York-based dancer Marion Spencer and a group of local dancers, Boulé will explore aesthetics and emergent forms in choreography, in relationship to the science behind traditional and contemporary healing practices. For Boulé, The Field looks into the means by which individual transformation lends itself to social and communal healing and change. Together, the group will present their explorations and discoveries in a performance on the final day of her residency.
