Learn about the health benefits of Latin American dance in this introductory class led by Arteterapia, a collective of dancers and siblings from the Taborda family and members of the East Boston Healing Center Project. Over five dance genres, with a focus on Tango, are highlighted in this fun experiential workshop for both English and Spanish speaking participants.
Comfortable shoes and loose clothing is highly recommended. While all experience and ability levels are welcomed, this workshop is designed for adult audiences.
This workshop has been organized to accompany the ICA Watershed exhibition—Guadalupe Maravilla: Mariposa Relámpago, which highlights community and individual healing and well-being.
This event is free and drop-in, and tickets are not required. The ICA Watershed is accessible via MBTA Maverick Station (10 min walk), or by water shuttle from Seaport, which is included with ICA admission. Timed water shuttle tickets will be available starting Wednesday, June 14 for ICA members and Wednesday, June 21 at 10 AM for the general public.
