Artist Educator, Andy Warhol Museum 

Shannon Thompson (she/her/hers) is an Artist Educator at the Andy Warhol Museum, where she co-leads the Youth Arts Council, Sensory Friendly Teen and Young Adult programming, and the LGBTQ+ Youth Prom. She is also a Teacher at Pittsburgh STEAM education nonprofit Assemble, where she helms programs like “Girls Maker Night” and “Hack The Future”. Shannon earned her BS in Sociology from Tennessee State University and an M.Ed. in Community Engagement from Merrimack College. She has extensive experience in designing and implementing inclusive arts programming, starting with volunteering at Girls Rock Camps. Shannon is driven by the transformative potential inherent in centering teen voices.
